A Chinese plant for the assembly of Philips, Sony and Sharp TVs has stopped work due to sanctions in the Leningrad region. Kommersant newspaper reports this with reference to sources.

Chinese company TPV Technology’s Shushary plant has stopped producing televisions due to US and EU sanctions. He has been working since 2011.

Production stopped at the end of October. Officially, representatives of the Russian office of TPV Technology did not confirm this information.

The capacity of the TPV Technology plant in Shushary allows the production of up to 3.5 million televisions per year.

As already reported, the threat of a second US sanction against Turkish banks that receive payments from Russia has a significant impact on Russian-Turkish trade.
