The businessman’s fortune is now $ 4.2 billion, which is $ 4.3 billion less than before Russia’s attack on Ukraine, according to American analysts.

Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov has lost half of his wealth since the start of the war. This was reported by the American edition of Forbes, citing its own calculations.

In particular, according to analysts of the publication, it is now $ 4.2 billion, which is $ 4.3 billion less than before Russia’s attack on Ukraine.

At the same time, Forbes cited Akhmetov’s words about his willingness to invest in the restoration of Ukraine after the war victory.

“I share the feelings of all Ukrainians: I sincerely hope for the victory of Ukraine in this war. And we will begin to rebuild the country so that it will be happy and prosperous. For my part, I will not defend the way or efforts to achieve this goal, ”he told American journalists.

Recall, on the eve it was reported that the businesses of SCM and the Akhmetov Foundation sent UAH 1.4 billion to help Ukraine.

Akhmetov himself earlier in a Bloomberg commentary said that the main task of Ukrainian business today is to help the country win the war unleashed by Russia and maintain an independent European state.
