The Verkhovna Rada adopted the bill on the budget of Ukraine for 2025 in the first reading. People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced this on Telegram on Thursday, October 31.
According to him, the country’s main financial document was supported by 247 people’s representatives.
“We have accepted the budget conclusions in their entirety. No changes have been made except for those in the salaries of prosecutors,” he wrote.
In this regard, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal thanked the people’s representatives for their support and expressed hope that the state budget will be adopted as a whole as soon as possible.
According to him, security and defense will also be a priority in the next year’s budget.
“We will direct all taxes paid by people and businesses to strengthen our defenders and military capabilities, thus, we will allocate more than UAH 2.2 trillion for these needs, which is about 26 % of GDP “, Shmygal wrote on Telegram.
In general, state budget expenditures are planned at more than UAH 3.6 trillion, which is 535 billion UAH more than this year. Revenues of the general fund are planned to reach UAH 2.7 billion, which is 411 billion UAH more than this year.
