Almost 90% of total agricultural exports are carried out by sea.
As of October 30, Ukraine has exported 14.14 million tons of grain and legumes. This is higher by 5.24 million tons (58%) compared to the same period last year. This is confirmed by data from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
Currently, Ukraine exported 7.68 million tons of wheat (compared to 4.48 million tons last year), 1.69 million tons of barley (compared to 679 thousand tons), 10.6 thousand tons of rye (compared to 0.9 thousand tons) and 4.49 million tons of corn (compared to 3.63 million tons).
Also during this period, Ukraine exported 25.1 thousand tons of flour compared to 42.4 thousand tons last year.
During the three quarters of 2024, Ukraine exported 48.9 million tons of agricultural products worth $10.5 billion.
Let’s remember that in January-September of this year, Ukraine increased the volume of export of agricultural products by more than a quarter, namely by 9.9 million tons.
Let’s add that in the year of operation of the Ukrainian sea corridor in the Black Sea, it is possible to export more than 50 million tons of agricultural products. A total of 75 million tons of cargo was transported through the corridor.
It was also reported that Ukraine sold 10 million tons of grain in the new season.
