The harvest in Ukraine is coming to an end – 90% of all agricultural crops have been harvested. At the same time, soybean harvest reached a record 6 million tons. First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotsky said this at a briefing on Friday, October 25.
“Wheat, barley, rye, oats and legumes are 67% harvested, rapeseed is 95% harvested, obviously we can summarize the results,” – said the official.
According to Vysotsky, the wheat harvest remained at the same level as last year: more than 22 million tons. About 6 million tons of barley and rapeseed were harvested.
“This year’s soybean harvest is record-breaking – 6 million tons are expected, and this is a historical record in Ukraine we also harvested 10 million tons of sunflower, and 24 million tons of corn is expected to decrease also last year.” , he added.
Let’s remember that in January-September of this year, Ukraine increased the volume of export of agricultural products by more than a quarter, namely by 9.9 million tons. The country got an additional $1.4 billion.
It was also reported that Ukraine sold 10 million tons of grain in the new season.
