The regulator increased the exchange rate of the American currency, although in the interbank market it fell by 4 kopecks.
The National Bank of Ukraine has increased the exchange rate of the dollar against the hryvnia for the second time in a row. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Tuesday, October 22.
So, the official exchange rate for Wednesday is set at UAH 41.3313. for 1 dollar (+0.0480 UAH). In turn, the euro exchange rate decreased significantly – 44.7081 UAH (-0.1049 UAH).
In the interbank market, the American currency fell by 4 kopecks to 41.30-41.29 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the dollar exchange rate increased by 5 kopecks to UAH 41.55.
Earlier it became known that the NBU will set the hryvnia exchange rate in a new way. The regulator presented a plan for moving to one – daily – basket of currencies to establish the official exchange rate.
It was also reported that in October the National Bank sold a record amount of foreign currency in three months.
