The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine increased to 41.50 Hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate increased to 45.35 Hryvnia.
The hryvnia is losing ground against the dollar and euro on the cash market. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Tuesday, October 22.
So, the average dollar selling rate in Ukraine increased by 5 kopecks – to 41.50 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate also increased by 5 kopecks – to 45.35 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 41.05 hryvnia, and euros for 44.55 hryvnia.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 41.34-41.36 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 3 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
Yesterday, the National Bank increased the dollar to Hryvnia exchange rate for Tuesday at the level of 41.2833 UAH (+0.0525 UAH). The euro today is worth 44.8130 UAH (+0.0858 UAH).
Earlier it became known that the NBU will set the hryvnia exchange rate in a new way. The regulator presented a plan for moving to a – daily – basket of currencies to establish the official exchange rate.
It was also reported that in October the National Bank sold a record amount of foreign currency in three months.
