Ukraine has signed a grant agreement with France for a total funding amount of 200 million euros, which will allow the implementation of projects to restore and modernize the infrastructure. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy on Tuesday, October 22.
The agreement was signed by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko and Ambassador Extraordinary of France to Ukraine Gaël Veyssier.
“We have signed an implementation agreement for the grant agreement between Ukraine and France, which opens the opportunity to attract 200 million euros in grant aid. Up to 50% of these funds will be used for the purchase of Ukrainian goods and services for reconstruction projects,” said Sviridenko.
According to him, these projects will be implemented in close cooperation with French companies that actively support Ukraine and employ 25,000 people in our country.
The main sectors that will receive funding are health, energy, water and sanitation, demining, digital technology, infrastructure, agriculture, waste management and housing.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine will receive a grant from the EU in the amount of 53 million euros.
