Separate division NAEC Energoatom called Atomenergomash launched the production of elements of localization of safety systems for nuclear power plants. The company reports this on its Telegram channel.
“Under the program of replacement of equipment and spare parts previously provided from the Russian Federation with its own production, a branch of JSC NAEC Energoatom – OP Atomenergomash launched the production of elements of localization of safety systems for domestic nuclear power plants,” the statement said.
The first such element is currently under construction, which will be used in one of the Ukrainian stations.
After meeting its needs for such equipment, Energoatom expects to supply it for VVER-1000 units in European nuclear power plants.
As we wrote earlier, on September 25, Energoatom entered into an agreement worth UAH 509 million for the design and construction of a protective structure at the Rivne nuclear power plant.
