The NBU again raised the official dollar exchange rate, although the American currency was stable in the interbank market.
The National Bank of Ukraine reduced the hryvnia exchange rate against the dollar for the eighth time in a row. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Wednesday, September 18.
Thus, the official exchange rate for tomorrow is set at 41.4508 UAH per dollar (+0.0408 UAH). Thus, the American currency approached the historical maximum reached in July of this year.
At the same time, the euro exchange rate decreased slightly and on Thursday will reach UAH 46.1099 (-0.0146 UAH).
In the interbank market, the dollar exchange rate was stable and did not change at the end of the trading day – 41.45-41.48 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
And in the cash market, the dollar exchange rate dropped by 5 kopecks – to UAH 41.85.
Earlier it became known that in August international reserves of Ukraine increased by 13.7% (by $5.096 billion) to $42.331 billion. They bounced back after falling for four straight months.
