Businesses are already facing a situation where they cannot increase production due to lack of workers.
The lack of personnel is the main challenge for industrial enterprises in Ukraine. Metinvest CEO Yuri Ryzhenkov said this in an interview with Forbes.
According to him, the holding could not increase production at the Zaporizhstal plant due to the lack of personnel.
“Since the beginning of the war, 9,000 of our employees have been mobilized, this is 16% of the personnel Why because it is easier to mobilize people in a large transparent business Transparent companies to solve the problem this, we, as a strategic enterprise, have a reservation for 50% of employees, but this did not correct the situation, “said Ryzhenkov.
He explained that training a specialist usually takes 2-3 years, so Metinvest does not have time to train new personnel. At the same time, the economic reservation proposed by the officials will not solve the problem of lack of personnel, but will only divide the society.
“Economic reservation carries political and social risks and can divide society In addition, we have many workers who earn from 15 to 30,000 UAH not solve the problem: there must be a set of solutions that will allow the economy to work and attract enough people to the army,” Ryzhenkov was convinced.
Earlier, Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal said that the Ukrainian authorities allow the possibility of increasing economic reservations for citizens against the backdrop of mobilization. Today more than 900 thousand people have such a reservation.
It is also reported that nearly 120 thousand workers of critical enterprises and those working for the needs of Security and Defense Forces have been booked through the Diya portal.
