The State Property Fund of Ukraine is preparing for the privatization of Drohobych saltworks, one of the oldest enterprises in Ukraine, which has been operating continuously since 1250. The press service of the State Property Fund reported this on Monday, September 16.
The Foundation includes the Drohobych Salt Plant in the list of objects subject to privatization.
“The Drohobych saltworks needs development, so it is going for privatization,” the message said.
Because of the war, it is the only producer of table salt in the country. Privatization will be carried out in compliance with the requirements for the protection of cultural heritage, as the complex includes nine architectural monuments.
According to the Law of Ukraine “On the Protection of Cultural Heritage,” a monument can be privatized only if the future owner concludes a security agreement for the monument with the relevant body for the protection of cultural heritage .
At this stage, salt production is being prepared for privatization. All information and documents on the object of privatization will be posted on the SPFU website and in the virtual data room of the object. The auction will be held on an electronic platform Prozorro.Sales.
