Energoatom, IAEA and France concluded an agreement on nuclear power plants in Ukraine

Ukraine will receive the necessary spare parts for emergency diesel generators at Pivdennoukrainsk NPP.

The International Atomic Energy Agency has signed an agreement with France and NAEC Energoatom to support Ukrainian nuclear power plants. This is reported on the IAEA website.

“This week, the IAEA signed an agreement with France and NAEC Energoatom to support Ukrainian nuclear power plants Ukraine will receive the necessary spare parts for emergency diesel generators at Pivdennoukrainsk NPP,” the statement said.

It was noted that in the event of a power outage outside the plant, nuclear power plants are responsible for the equipment that provides electricity for continuous safe and reliable operation.

“Maintenance and operation, including the availability of spare parts, are important to ensure proper operation and prevent a nuclear accident due to power outage outside the plant is also provided to Ukraine in 2023,” said IAEA.
