The demand for hybrid and electric cars has increased in Ukraine

Among the leaders in the segments: gasoline cars – MAZDA CX5; hybrid – TOYOTA RAV-4; diesel – RENAULT Duster; electro – BYDSongPlus; car with LPG – HYUNDAI Tucson.

As of August this year, conventionally powered vehicles accounted for nearly 63% of the new passenger car market. Last year this number was more than 68%. It was reported by Ukravtoprom.

It is noted that models with gasoline engines remain the most popular;

The second largest segment is the hybrid car segment – 22.3% last year they accounted for 19.3% of the new car market. But the share of diesel cars dropped from 25.8% to 22.1%.

Electric vehicles accounted for 14.3%, up from 11.8% in August last year.

Cars with LPG, like last year, account for less than one percent of new car sales.

It was previously reported that in the five months of 2024, a record number of electric cars were delivered to Ukraine – 20,785.
