The hryvnia exchange rate continued to strengthen against the dollar and the euro at the exchange offices at the beginning of the new working week. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with market monitoring data on Monday, September 2.
The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine decreased by 5 kopecks, to 41.35 Hryvnia, and the euro fell in price by 15 kopecks, to 45.85 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars on average for 40.85 UAH, and euros for 45.15 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 41.00-41.03 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – a decrease of another 4 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
On Friday, the National Bank reduced the dollar to hryvnia exchange rate for the fourth day in a row – UAH 41.0592 (-0.1309 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 45.5018 UAH (-0.2027 UAH).
We remind you that in August the National Bank reduced the sale of foreign currency from reserves. The number of interventions has been minimal in the past three months.
It is also known that the NBU has introduced a limit on transfers from card to card. So, the regulator declared war on “drops”.
