In the interbank market, the American currency increased its decline – 41.17-41.21 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – 11 kopecks lower compared to the previous day’s closing.
On the last day of the working week, the hryvnia exchange rate rose against the dollar and stabilized against the euro. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Friday, August 23.
So, the average dollar selling rate in Ukraine decreased by 10 kopecks to 41.45 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate remained unchanged – 46.10 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 40.95 UAH, and euros for 45.40 UAH.

Yesterday, the National Bank reduced the dollar to hryvnia exchange rate for the second day in a row – 41.2881 UAH (-0.0094 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 45.9826 UAH (-0.084 UAH). This is a historical maximum, the previous one was on August 22 – 45.898.
We remind you that yesterday the dollar fell to its lowest level for the year against the euro and pound sterling against the backdrop of the policies of the US Federal Reserve System.
The euro/dollar exchange rate rose to 1.1175 for the first time since July 2023. The dollar index, which measures the currency against the euro, pound, yen and three other major currencies, was 101.19.
