In the interbank market, the American currency fell in price by 6 kopecks – to 41.28-41.30 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
The National Bank of Ukraine slightly reduced the dollar exchange rate against the hryvnia and raised the euro for the fourth time in a row. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Thursday, August 22.
Thus, the official dollar exchange rate for tomorrow is set at 41.2881 UAH per dollar (-0.0094 UAH). And the euro exchange rate will be 45.9826 UAH (-0.0840 UAH). This is a new historical maximum, the previous one was the day before – 45.8980 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency fell by 6 kopecks to 41.28-41.30 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the dollar rose by 5 kopecks to 41.55 hryvnia. The euro exchange rate increased by 15 kopecks to 46.05 hryvnia.
We remind you that today the dollar fell to its lowest level in a year against the euro and pound sterling against the backdrop of the policies pursued by the US Federal Reserve.
The euro/dollar exchange rate rose to 1.1175 for the first time since July 2023. The dollar index, which measures the currency against the euro, pound, yen and three other major currencies, was 101.19.
