The deadline for processing money transfers abroad in the Russian Federation is August 30, the bank’s press service notes.
From September 2, Raiffeisenbank will stop making outgoing foreign currency transfers to Russia for individuals in foreign currency. Insider reports this in relation to the bank’s statement.
The restrictions were introduced in connection with the decision of the bank’s parent structure – the Austrian RBI group, the order of which, for its part, was issued by the European Central Bank.
“We are sorry if this situation disrupts your financial plans, but we cannot influence this decision,” Raiffeisenbank said.
Due to European Central Bank requirements, other bank services may be closed. If the management does not comply with the regulator’s instructions, a credit institution in Russia faces a complete stoppage of operations.
The deadline for processing foreign currency transfers is August 30. After that, the bank will stop accepting applications from clients.
We remind you that the Austrian Raiffeisen Bank International will continue to reduce its large and profitable business in Russia under an agreement with the European Central Bank.
