On August 12, the rate officially set by the regulator was 41.11 UAH/dollar and 44.88 UAH/euro, respectively.
The National Bank of Ukraine set the official exchange rate of the dollar against the hryvnia on Tuesday, August 13, at 41.28 UAH/USD compared to 41.11 UAH/USD. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Monday, August 12.
The National Bank weakened the national currency against the dollar by 16 kopecks.
The price of the Hryvnia also fell against the euro. Thus, the official exchange rate of the NBU against the euro is set at 45.11 UAH/euro compared to 44.88 UAH/euro, that is, the hryvnia weakened by 22 kopecks.
In the interbank foreign exchange market, hryvnia quotes against the dollar were fixed at 41.31/41.33 UAH/dollar, euro – 45.13/45.14 UAH/euro.
Remind us that in July, Ukrainians bought a record amount of cash currency for 12 years – $2.775 billion. Net purchases were $1.117 billion.
It was also reported that over the past week the structural deficit of foreign currency decreased in the interbank market – the NBU sold $784.63 million. This is 17.4% lower than last week.
