Most often, Turkish citizens open a business – 396 companies or 12.9% of the total.
Citizens from more than 100 countries established more than 3,000 companies in Ukraine during the massive war. The open data platform Opendatabot reported this on Monday, August 12.
Most often, citizens of Turkey open a business – 396 companies or 12.9% of the total, Uzbekistan – 312 businesses (10.1% of the total). Polish citizens close the top three – 224 businesses or 7.3%.
In total, foreigners from 101 countries have established 3,075 companies in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war.
The top 10 also includes citizens of the USA, Kazakhstan, Germany, Azerbaijan, Israel, Great Britain and China.
Almost half of the total number of companies with foreign owners are registered in Kyiv – 1,517 Citizens of Uzbekistan often create businesses in the capital – 175 companies.
Lviv region is next – 460 businesses: foreigners from Poland often live here (105 companies). Odessa region also entered the top three – 273 companies. In this region, companies are mostly created by Turkish citizens – 99 enterprises.

The largest number of companies with foreign owners are engaged in wholesale trade – 30.7%, real estate transactions – 6.7% and computer programming – 5.8%.
The company TENS1MA with an authorized capital of UAH 1.28 billion has become the largest business opened by foreigners since February 24, 2022. The owner of the business is a citizen of Armenia.
The second position is occupied by the closed non-diversified venture corporate investment fund Yugen with an authorized capital of 700 million Hryvnias. The beneficial owner is a United States citizen.
LFS, founded by a Polish citizen, rounds out the top three. The company has 300 million Hryvnia of authorized capital.
We remind you that in the first half of 2024, almost 92 thousand individual entrepreneurs were closed in Ukraine, which is 54% more than in the same period in 2023.
