Payments by industrial companies to the budget for the seven months of 2024 increased by almost 20% compared to the same period in 2023.
Despite the strong resistance of the “black market,” measures to clarify the market of alcoholic beverages are yielding positive results, including in the form of budget revenues. This was announced by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Danilo Getmantsev, on Thursday, August 8.
Payments of industrial companies to the budget for 7 months of 2024 increased by almost 20% compared to 7 months of 2023 (+1.1 billion Hryvnia).
According to Getmantsev, there is also an increase in tax efficiency for VAT. Taking into account the latest VAT declaration results, the tax efficiency for the industry in 2024 is 7.12%, which is 1.5 percentage points more than last year (5.62%). In comparison, in 2021 the tax efficiency is 5.16%.
“Excise tax revenues from alcoholic beverages produced in Ukraine also increased significantly In 7 months of 2024, the budget received UAH 0.5 billion more (+10.8%) from actual revenues for the same period last year,” added the head of the Committee.
Production volumes in the first half of 2024 increased by 8.3% to 13.4 million deciliters from 12.3 million deciliters in the first half of 2023.
