In terms of the speed of grain harvesting, the farmers of the Odessa region are in the lead, having already harvested 1064.9 thousand hectares.
During the harvest of early grain and leguminous crops from fields, farmers from all regions of Ukraine threshed 28.528 million tons of new crops from 7.302 million hectares. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food on Friday, August 2.
More than 25.29 million tons of grains and 3.236 million tons of oilseeds have been harvested.
19.44 million tons of wheat were threshed from 4.466 million hectares with a yield of 43.5 c/ha, 4.8 million tons of barley from 1294.1 thousand hectares with a yield of 37.2 c/ha, 451.6 thousand tons of peas .72000 ton yield of 22 c/ha.
Oilseeds are also collected. In particular, more than 3.236 million tons of rapeseed were threshed from 1195.5 thousand hectares with a yield of 27.1 c/ha and 0.3 thousand tons of soybeans from 0.2 thousand hectares with a yield of 19.3 c/ha.
In terms of the speed of grain collection, the farmers of the Odessa region are leading, having already collected 1064.9 thousand hectares. Khmelnitsky region leads in terms of productivity with an indicator of 65 c/ha.
Farmers from Poltava, Odessa, Kherson, Kirovograd and Cherkasy completed the harvesting of early grains and leguminous crops.
We remind you that due to the abnormal heat in Ukraine, the harvest of early grain crops will be reduced by 5%, and late crops may lose up to 15%.
