The amount of foreign currency cash imported by Ukrainian banks in June 2024 amounted to $1.331 billion. This is 13.2% more than in May ($1.176 billion). The NBU reported this.
It noted that June’s volume was the highest since the beginning of the year, although significantly lower than in January ($1.864 billion). At the same time, banks imported $938 million in cash in June, which was 28% more than in May ($846 million). The amount of euro cash increased to 389 million dollars in equivalent (330 million in May).
In June, currencies worth $69 million were exported from Ukraine.
