In Ukraine, demand for used cars from the USA has doubled

Compared to the first half of 2023, demand for used “Americans” has doubled.

Over the past six months, 21.2 thousand used cars from the United States of America were registered in Ukraine. That is, 19% of the used cars that moved to Ukrainian license plates from January to June were from the United States, reports Ukravtoprom.

Compared to the first half of 2023, demand for used “Americans” has doubled.

The largest part of this number (47%) are cars with gasoline engines. More than a third (34%) are electric vehicles. Hybrid cars and LPG cars own 7% each. The rest of the car market segment is covered by diesel cars.

The TOP 5 used cars made in the USA include:

  • Tesla Model 3 – 2330 units;

  • Tesla Model Y – 1770 units;

  • Ford Escape – 1437 units;

  • Jeep Cherokee – 1346 units;

  • Volkswagen Passat – 1271 units.

The average age of “Americans” with mileage added to the Ukrainian car fleet this year is six years.

We remind you that in June, about 4.2 thousand vehicles powered by battery sources were registered in Ukraine.
