In the interbank market, the price of the American currency increased by 24 kopecks – up to 41.30-41.34 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
The National Bank of Ukraine has raised the exchange rate of the dollar and euro against the hryvnia to new historic highs. This is confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Tuesday, July 16.
Thus, the official dollar exchange rate for tomorrow is set at UAH 41.2575 (+0.2468 UAH). And the euro exchange rate will be 44.9789 UAH (+0.2526 UAH).
Today, on the interbank market, the price of the American currency increased by 24 kopecks – up to 41.30-41.34 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the dollar immediately gained 35 kopecks – up to 41.50 hryvnia.
Remind us that last week the NBU reduced the sale of foreign currency by 16% – to $532 million. Overall, since the beginning of the year, the regulator has sold $15.4 billion in the interbank market.
As you know, the Cabinet of Ministers predicts a further increase in the dollar exchange rate. According to the Budget Declaration, in 2025 the average exchange rate will increase by 10% – up to 45 UAH/dollar. At the same time, the budget for 2024 includes an average exchange rate of 40.7 UAH/dollar and 42.1 UAH/dollar in December.
It was also reported that the cash dollar exchange rate increased for the fourth consecutive month. In June, it increased by 1.7% to UAH 40.85.
