The largest amount of deductions is the fee for the use of subsoil. The figure increased more than three times – to UAH 2.9 billion.
The mining and metallurgical group Metinvest in the first half of 2024 increased the payment of taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels in Ukraine by 56% compared to the first half of 2023 – up to UAH 9.9 billion. The company’s press service reported this on Monday, July 15.
It was indicated that the biggest reduction in terms of volume was the fee for the use of subsoil, which grew more than three times – to UAH 2.9 billion. In second place is the unified social contribution in the amount of UAH 1.8 billion, an increase of 19%. The third largest payment is UAH 1.7 billion in personal income tax, which is 16% higher than the figures for the first half of 2023.
Also, Metinvest enterprises in Ukraine paid UAH 1.4 billion in income tax in January-June of this year, which is 26% more than in January-June 2023.
“During the war, Metinvest overcame many challenges. Our efforts to rebuild the business yielded results – tax payments are growing. This is our contribution to supporting the economy of Ukraine and the regions which is close to the front line where the company’s businesses operate. We direct significant resources to help the army and civilians, we continue to make plans for a peaceful future and are ready to participate in the recovery of the country after war,” commented Metinvest CEO Yuri Ryzhenkov.
We remind you that in 2023, Metinvest paid UAH 14.6 billion in taxes. Then the largest in terms of deductions is the single social contribution, which reached UAH 3.3 billion.
It was also reported that from May 1, 2024, Metinvest increased wages for employees of production and repair enterprises. Their salaries increased by 5-20%, and for the most difficult professions – up to 25%. In addition, the company introduced an additional team bonus for employees.
