The National Bank lowered the official dollar exchange rate, although the price of the American currency rose slightly on the interbank market.
The National Bank of Ukraine slightly reduced the exchange rate of the dollar and euro against the hryvnia after they hit historic highs. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Wednesday, July 10.
Thus, the official dollar exchange rate for tomorrow is set at UAH 40.7146 (-0.0516 UAH). And the euro is worth 44.0776 UAH (-0.0070 UAH).
Meanwhile, on the interbank market, the price of the American currency rose by 5 kopecks to 40.76-40.78 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
And in the cash market the dollar exchange rate increased by 5 kopecks – 41.05 UAH.
We remind you that the Cabinet of Ministers predicts a further increase in the dollar exchange rate. According to the Budget Declaration, in 2025 the average exchange rate will increase by 10% to 45 UAH/dollar. At the same time, the budget for 2024 includes an average exchange rate of 40.7 UAH/dollar and 42.1 UAH/dollar in December.
It was also reported that the cash dollar exchange rate was growing for the fourth consecutive month. In June, it increased by 1.7% to UAH 40.85.
