The National Bank of Ukraine has raised the exchange rates of the dollar and euro against the hryvnia to new historic highs. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Tuesday, July 9.
The official dollar exchange rate for Wednesday was set at UAH 40.7662 (+0.0662 UAH). And the euro tomorrow is worth 44.0846 UAH (+0.0065 UAH).
In the interbank market, the price of the American currency increased by 5 kopecks, at 40.76-40.78 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the dollar exchange rate increased by 5 kopecks to UAH 41.05.
Earlier it became known that Ukraine’s reserves were reduced for the third month. In June, the National Bank spent about $3 billion to cover the shortage of foreign currency in the market and pay off debts.
Meanwhile, the cash dollar exchange rate rose for the fourth consecutive month. In June, it increased by 1.7% to UAH 40.85.
Also last week, the dollar exchange rate updated its historical record.
