Compared to June last year, demand for electric vehicles increased by 35%. While in the first half of the year, more than 24.4 thousand units of such vehicles were first registered in Ukraine.
In June, about 4.2 thousand battery-powered vehicles (BEVs) were registered in Ukraine, reports Association of Automobile Manufacturers of Ukraine (Ukravtoprom) on Monday, July 8th.
As last year, the share of new cars in BEV registrations was 19%.
It was noted that the majority of electric vehicles registered in the month were passenger cars – 4079 units. (new – 784 pcs., used – 3295 pcs.).
In June, the leader in the number of registrations of new electric vehicles was Honda M-NV – 140 units, among used ones – Tesla Model 3 – 419 units.
The Association added that only in the first half of the year, more than 24.4 thousand units passed their first registration in Ukraine. vehicles on battery power sources, of which: 20% new and 80 used.
Note that in September 2023, Ukrainians bought 2.7 times more electric cars than a year earlier, and 12% more than in August.
