The dollar exchange rate is controlled by the National Bank through interventions in the interbank foreign exchange market.
The average selling rate of cash dollar in Ukraine in June 2024 increased by 1.7% – to 40.85 Hryvnia. This is confirmed by data from the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
Compared to December 2023, the rate increased by 8.0% (3.02 hryvnia).

In June, the official rate updated historical highs twice. In addition, on June 14 it increased to 40.69 UAH/dollar. In general, throughout the month the rate increased by 3 kopecks – from 40.50 to 40.53 UAH/dollar.
Since the beginning of the year, the rate has increased by 6.7% (37.98 UAH/dollar as of December 31, 2023).
The value of the currency depends entirely on the interbank market.
As we have already written, the Cabinet of Ministers predicts a further increase in the dollar exchange rate. According to the Budget Declaration, in 2025 the average exchange rate will increase by 10%, up to 45 UAH/dollar.
