Naftogaz group companies – Ukrgazvydobuvannya and Ukrnafta – increased natural gas production by 8%.
During the six months of 2024, Naftogaz group companies increased gas production by 8% compared to the same period last year. The press service of the Naftogaz group reported this on Tuesday, July 2.
“Within six months of 2024, Naftogaz Group companies – Ukrgazvydobuvannya and Ukrnafta – have already produced 7.3 billion cubic meters of commercial gas. This is 8% more than in the same period last year,” said of the statement.
Head of the Board of Naftogaz Alexey Chernyshev noted that the gas production figures exceeded the operating plan by almost 2%.
“We were able to achieve this result thanks to the launch of 41 wells, which are more than planned, 14 of which have high yields, producing more than 100 thousand cubic meters of gas per day,” he said.
Naftogaz specialists are constantly examining old wells that can be brought back into operation by using new technological solutions.
Let’s remember that in June a new gas well was launched in Ukraine, producing 280 thousand cubic meters of gas per day.
The net income of Naftogaz group in the first quarter of 2024 reached UAH 10.9 billion, while for the same period last year the group received a net loss of UAH 1.4 billion.
