The most difficult situation with energy supply due to shelling is observed in the Donetsk region and in the south of the Dnepropetrovsk region.
In June, DTEK power engineers resumed electricity supplies to 341 thousand Ukrainians in the regions of Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk and Kyiv, which were cut off as a result of Russia’s shelling. The press service of the energy holding reported this on Monday, July 1.

So, in the Donetsk region, where the situation remains very difficult due to the ongoing conflict, power engineers managed to connect electricity to 200.2 thousand consumers in June.
“Energy workers continue to restore networks in the frontline region every day – as soon as the security and military situation allows,” the statement said.
At the same time, networks in the Dnepropetrovsk region were also damaged. There, within a month, they were able to restore light for 121 thousand customers, mainly in the south of the region.
The enemy does not stop attacking the Kiev region. In this region, in the past month, power engineers had to restore electricity to 18.8 thousand families.
In addition, in the first month of summer, DTEK energy workers restored electricity to 835 families in the Odessa region.
In more than two years of widespread war, the company connected 12.7 million Ukrainians to energy supplies. Many of them lost power more than once.
Let’s recall that in June, as a result of the Russian attack, one of DTEK’s thermal power plants was damaged. Three energy workers were injured.
Earlier, DTEK said how many times they had to rebuild power plants “from scratch” after Russian shelling.
