The Polish side restricted the entry of Ukrainian trucks without permits for international cargo transportation.
From July 1, the Polish side restricted the entry of Ukrainian trucks. This was reported by the press center of the State Customs Service of Ukraine.
“From 00:00 07/01/2024, the Polish side at the checkpoints suspended entry and exit from/to the Republic of Poland for Ukrainian freight vehicles without a permit for international freight transport (ECMT permit or book – ed .) ,” it said in the message.
It was noted that checkpoints at other sections of the border were operating as usual.
ECMT (European Conference of Ministers of Transport) licenses are multilateral permits for the international transport of goods, “passes”, which are issued for one year and allow carriers to carry out unlimited types of transportation in the territory of more than 50 countries.
Previously, the Ministry of Infrastructure reported that by 2024, only 5,500 permits for ECMT transportation will be issued in Ukraine.
We remind you that cargo transport agreements (the so-called transport visa-free regime) between Ukraine and the EU have been supplemented with clauses that tighten the requirements for Kyiv.
As you know, travel without a transport visa is open to Ukraine with 35 countries, including the states of the European Union.
