The National Bank of Ukraine on Tuesday, June 25, set the official exchange rate of the dollar against the hryvnia at 40.55 UAH/USD.
The National Bank of Ukraine increased the exchange rate of the dollar against the hryvnia. The dollar rose in price after falling for six working days in a row, according to data on the regulator’s website on Monday, June 24.
The official exchange rate for Tuesday, June 25, is set at 40.5505 UAH per dollar (+0.1027 UAH).
The euro exchange rate will be 43.5188 UAH per euro (+0.2841 UAH).
In the interbank market, the rate increased by 15 kopecks to 40.58-40.61 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the dollar exchange rate did not change – 40.85 hryvnia.
Let us remind you that in May the exchange rate increased by 2.1% – to 40.50 UAH/dollar. At the end of May, the official dollar exchange rate repeatedly updated its historical highs. Since the beginning of 2024, the dollar has increased by 6.6%.
The National Bank said that the increase in the dollar’s exchange rate caused an increase in budget expenditures. However, the situation in the Ukrainian foreign exchange market remains under control.
