Since the beginning of 2024, 5,029 Ukrainians have become winners of the Self-Employment program. These entrepreneurs will receive UAH 1.2 billion to start or develop their own business.
In Ukraine, more than 5 thousand entrepreneurs will receive microgrants from the state in the amount of 1.2 billion Hryvnia. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy on June 14.
It was noted that since the beginning of 2024, a total of 5,029 Ukrainians have become winners of the Self-Employment program. These entrepreneurs will receive UAH 1.2 billion to start or develop their own business.
At the end of the tenth stage of the program, 369 winners were selected to receive UAH 88 million. to grow your business.
According to Deputy Minister of Economy Tatyana Berezhnaya, the winners will receive UAH 1.2 billion in microgrants from the state. 80% of them are entrepreneurs who took a grant to develop and expand their business, 20% are people who are just starting their own business.
As reported, in total, since the beginning of the program in July 2022, more than 17 thousand Ukrainians have become winners, in which business the state invests UAH 4.3 billion.
It is expected that with the implementation of their business projects, entrepreneurs will create 38 thousand new jobs. And the money invested by the state will return to the budget within three years in the form of taxes.
We remind you that in the first quarter of 2024, Ukrainians opened more than 74 thousand new individual entrepreneurs, which is 33.6% more than in the same period last year.
