“Lithuania, for its part, has already expressed interest in using such analysis to identify Ukrainian grain stolen by Russia and prevent its transshipment through Lithuanian ports,” the department said in a statement.
The parties to the meeting discussed the technical issues of the system for determining the origin of the grain and mechanisms for implementation in practice.
“We started this project two years ago and now we are almost done with the procedure. I want to express my gratitude to Lithuania, the first country that wants to join this procedure and implement it for Ukraine this is a very important step, ” said Deputy Ukrainian Minister of Agricultural Policy Markian Dmitrasevich.
