“In the coming days, Energoatom will organize another thousand-capacity power unit. Considering this, as well as the increase in electricity consumption in July, the generation deficit in the energy system is may increase,” the message said.
At the same time, the company added that, on the other hand, it is certain that this repair schedule will be possible to reduce the duration of forced blackouts in the fall.
Repairs to Energoatom’s power units are said to be ahead of schedule. The repair of three units with a capacity of 2420 MW has been completed. Five more power units need to be repaired.
“The total repair duration has been reduced by 22.3 days from the planned one. As a result, the nuclear power plants produced an additional 171.84 million kW of electricity and supported the energy system, reducing the duration of outages in June,” the company. added.
As you know, power engineers predict that July will be the most difficult period for the Ukrainian energy system. Currently, nuclear power plants are undergoing scheduled maintenance.
