It was indicated that on Saturday some repairs to the electrical networks were carried out in the two regions subject to daily artillery shelling and drone strikes.
“On the day, June 8, electrical engineers from DTEK Dnipro Electric Networks were able to resume the operation of networks for 28,523 families whose houses were de-energized as a result of shelling the previous day, power supply to the region has been fully restored,” the message said.
The situation in Donbass also continues to be difficult. Here, because of the shelling, about 70 energy company personnel are working daily on site restoration efforts. Within 24 hours, they were able to restore power to more than 1,000 customers.
The company recalled that repair workers do not always have access to workplaces due to the security situation.
“Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region as soon as they receive permission to carry out work from the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” DTEK promised.
Earlier, DTEK said that since the start of a full-scale war with Russia, all of the company’s thermal power plants have received major blows and gone through a complete shutdown. Currently, the holding is actively looking for and buying equipment in Europe.
And Prime Minister Denis Shmigal said that 42 power units of thermal power plants were destroyed in Ukraine – this is 73% of all thermal generation capacities.
