Leadership in the Ukrainian market of new cars is held by the Japanese brand Toyota – 928 units.
In May, more than 5.5 thousand new passenger cars were registered in Ukraine, which is 8% more than in the same period in 2023. Ukravtoprom reported this.
At the same time, effective demand for new passenger cars lags behind the pre-war May 2021 figure by 35%.
Compared to the previous month, consumer activity in the car market decreased by 4%.
The leader in the new car market is the Japanese brand Toyota – 928 units.
Renault remains in second place – 440 units. BMW has the third result – 418 units. The top 5 in May also included VW (389 units) and Škoda (318 units).
The bestseller of the month in the Ukrainian market of new cars was the Toyota RAV-4 crossover, which found 475 buyers in May.
In total, since the beginning of the year, 27.7 thousand new passenger cars have been registered in Ukraine, which is 29% more than in the same period in 2023.
We remind you that more than 100 thousand cars were sold on the Diya application in six months. Sets of new license plates with the DI series were assigned to more than 10.5 thousand vehicles.
