In the interbank market, the American currency added another 13 kopecks, to 39.80-39.82 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
The National Bank of Ukraine has raised the exchange rates of the dollar and euro against the hryvnia to new historic highs. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Tuesday, May 21.
Thus, the dollar exchange rate for tomorrow is set at 39.8052 UAH (+0.1402 UAH). The previous record was recorded on April 22 – 39.7879 UAH/dollar.
The euro exchange rate increased further and will reach 43.2643 UAH (+0.1841 UAH). The previous high was set on May 21 at 43.0802.
In the interbank market, the American currency added another 13 kopecks, to 39.80-39.82 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
Meanwhile, in the cash market, the price of the dollar increased by 5 kopecks, up to 40.05 UAH/dollar.
Remind us that over the past week the dollar exchange rate has decreased in the interbank market, and the NBU has reduced the sale of foreign currency to $490 million, which is 8% less than last week ($533 million).
In general, over the past week the official dollar exchange rate has decreased by 30 kopecks – from 39.72 to 39.42 UAH/dollar. In the cash market, the dollar fell below 40 hryvnia.
