In the interbank market, the price of the American currency increased by 20 kopecks – up to 39.67-39.69 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
The National Bank of Ukraine has sharply increased the exchange rate of the dollar against the Hryvnia. And the exchange rate of the euro basically updated its historical maximum. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Monday, May 20.
Thus, the official dollar exchange rate for tomorrow is set at UAH 39.6650 (+0.2378 UAH). And the euro exchange rate will be 43.0802 UAH (+0.3253 UAH). This is a new all-time high. The previous record was set on May 16 – 42.8501 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency rose in price by 20 kopecks – to 39.67-39.69 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s closing.
Meanwhile, in the cash market, the dollar exchange rate increased by 10 kopecks – up to 40.00 UAH/dollar.
Remind us that over the past week the dollar exchange rate has decreased in the interbank market, and the NBU has reduced the sale of foreign currency to $490 million, which is 8% less than last week ($533 million).
In general, over the past week the official dollar exchange rate has decreased by 30 kopecks – from 39.72 to 39.42 UAH/dollar. In the cash market, the dollar fell below 40 hryvnia.
