In the interbank market, the American currency fell by 10 kopecks to 39.52-39.56 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
The National Bank of Ukraine reduced the exchange rate of the dollar against the hryvnia after rising the previous day. But the euro exchange has updated its historical record. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Wednesday, May 15.
So, the official dollar exchange rate for tomorrow is set at UAH 39.5771 (-0.1028 UAH). And the euro is worth 42.8305 UAH (+0.0196 UAH). This is the second consecutive all-time high.

In the cash market, the dollar exchange rate remained stable – 40.05 UAH/dollar.
We remind you that since the beginning of 2024, the hryvnia exchange rate against the dollar has fallen by 5.8%. The Verkhovna Rada said that it corresponds to the planned indicators included in the state budget of Ukraine.
Earlier, the NBU explained the increase in the dollar exchange rate by restoring international aid to Ukraine. This influenced the increase in budget expenditures.
