The Roshel company has hired 200 refugees from Ukraine, who now have the necessary experience and want to help their homeland.
Canadian armored vehicle manufacturer Roshel plans to expand production in Ukraine. This was said by the company’s general director Roman Shimonov in an interview with the Defense Archives.
“We are in the final stages of planning the localization of part of our production in Ukraine,” he said.
According to him, since the start of the Russian invasion, more than 200 refugees from Ukraine have found work in the company. They have gained the necessary experience and are eager to return home to continue working there.
Currently, there are several service centers in Ukraine servicing Roshel armored vehicles used by the Defense Forces, the general director said. It is likely that partial production of armored vehicles will be launched based on one of these centers.
“We are actively working three shifts and continuous efforts to support Ukraine. The ongoing war requires a large number of vehicles to provide protection and mobility for the forces involved. We are committed to meeting the demand as best we can, and our production rates to be consistent with the contracts and support we receive from donor countries and the government of Ukraine,” Shimonov emphasized.
