In April, Ukrainians imported fewer used cars than in March

The largest share in this segment of the car market belongs to gasoline cars. The leader in registration among imported used cars remains the Volkswagen Golf.

In April, the Ukrainian car fleet was filled with more than 19.8 thousand passenger cars imported from abroad. The Association reports this Ukravtoprom.

Compared to the same period in 2023, registrations of such cars increased by 30%. Compared to the previous month, this number decreased by 6%. The average age of used cars is 9.3 years.

The largest share in this segment of the car market belongs to gasoline cars – 48%. Next diesel engines – 24%; electric vehicles – 17%; cars with HBO – 6%; hybrids – 5%.

The leader in registration among imported used cars remains the Volkswagen Golf (1,106 units).

The top ten most popular models of the month also include:

  • RENAULT Megane – 916 units;

  • SKODA Octavia – 732 units;

  • VOLKSWAGEN Passat – 586 units;

  • VOLKSWAGEN Tiguan – 511 units;

  • NISSAN Leaf – 497 units;

  • NISSAN Rogue – 482 units;

  • AUDI Q5 – 466 units;

  • TESLA Model 3 – 414 units;

  • AUDI A4 – 373 units.

In total, since the beginning of the year, almost 75.4 thousand used cars underwent their first registration in Ukraine, which is 38% more than in the same period in 2023.

We remind you that in March 2024, the Ukrainian car fleet was filled with more than 4.4 thousand battery-powered vehicles (BEV). Compared to the same period last year, the demand for electric vehicles increased 2.3 times.

It was also reported that in March 2024, about 6.7 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Ukraine, which is 1.5 times more than in March last year.
