In the first quarter of 2024 in Ukraine, individual entrepreneurs paid more than UAH 13.9 billion in single taxes to the budget. This was announced on Friday, May 3, by the People’s Deputy, Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Danilo Getmantsev.
“In the first quarter of 2024, individual entrepreneurs provided single tax income worth more than 13.9 billion hryvnias – this is 5.17 billion more than in the first quarter of 2023. There is an impressive growth rate which is 159%,” it said in the message.
Getmantsev noted that in the past year, as of January 1, 2024, individual entrepreneurs provided single tax revenues in the amount of more than UAH 38 billion, UAH 5.11 billion more than in 2022.
The head of the committee also emphasized that the number of individual entrepreneurs is growing. In 2023, 303.6 thousand newly created businesses were registered against the annual average of the last three years of 264.9 thousand. In total, there are about 2 million individual entrepreneurs in Ukraine.
