A total of 6,471 cases against businesses have been identified, of which 1,218 have been closed, but the audit is ongoing, the Office of the Prosecutor General said.
The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine conducted an audit of criminal proceedings initiated against enterprises, after which approximately 19% of cases were closed. This was announced by Deputy Prosecutor General Dmitry Verbitsky, Forbes writes.
It was reported that a total of 6,471 cases were identified against businesses, of which 1,218 were closed, however, as Verbitsky noted, the audit is ongoing.
The largest percentage of cases were initiated by the National Police – 64% (4109), in addition – the Bureau of Economic Security (BEB) – 27% (1757), the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) – 5% (344) and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) – 4% (261).
It is known that in January and February of this year, 163 arrests were canceled. Above all – in the State Bureau of Investigation, almost 55%, or 88 arrests. The National Police canceled 28% (45) of the arrests, the SBU – 10% (17), the BEB – 8% (13).
Earlier it was reported that almost one billion hryvnias of the assets of the former head of the Motor Sich Boguslaev were confiscated.
