The government plans to speed up work on existing projects and focus on preparing new investments with the EIB, Denis Shmygal said.
This year, the European Investment Bank (EIB) will provide loans worth 560 million euros to Ukraine for energy projects, transport infrastructure and housing restoration. Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal announced this on Telegram on Friday, April 19.
According to him, the corresponding memorandum was signed with the head of the EIB, Nadezhda Calvino.
“We plan to accelerate work on existing projects and focus on preparing new EIB investments in critical public and private initiatives.
Let’s recall that in December the EIB allocated almost 100 million euros to Ukraine for reconstruction projects in 18 regions. The funds will allow for the restoration of approximately 200 small municipal and social infrastructure facilities.
