The average dollar selling rate in Ukraine increased to 39.75 hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate increased to 42.85 hryvnia.
The hryvnia exchange rate accelerated its decline against the dollar in the cash market. RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to market monitoring data on Tuesday, April 16.
So, on the morning of April 16, the average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine increased by 20 kopecks to 39.75 Hryvnia, and the euro rate increased by 10 kopecks to 42.85 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 39.25 hryvnia, and euros for 42.15 hryvnia.
In the interbank market, the American currency was at the level of 39.59-39.61 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 1 kopeck compared to the previous day’s close.
Let us remind you that yesterday the National Bank of Ukraine increased the dollar exchange rate to the hryvnia for the sixth day in a row, as a result of which it again updated the historical maximum – 39.5737 UAH (+0.1747 UAH). The highest rate was on April 15 – 39,399 UAH/dollar.
In turn, the euro exchange rate today is 42.1618 UAH (+0.1940 UAH).
Earlier, the National Bank named the reasons for the recent increase in the dollar’s exchange rate. During the month, the exchange rate of the American currency updated records more than once.
