The demand for electric vehicles has increased in Ukraine

The share of new cars in BEV registrations is 20%. At the same time, the majority of electric vehicles registered in the month were passenger cars – 4,337 units.

As of March 2024, the Ukrainian vehicle fleet will be filled with more than 4.4 thousand battery-powered vehicles (BEVs). Compared to the same period last year, the demand for electric vehicles increased 2.3 times. It was reported by Ukravtoprom.

It is noted that the share of new cars in BEV registration is 20%. At the same time, the majority of electric vehicles registered in the month were passenger cars – 4,337 units. (new – 900 pcs., used – 3437 pcs.).

Out of 83 commercial electric vehicles, only 5 are new.

Among the five new electric cars of the month are the Volkswagen ID.4 – 207 units; BYD Song Plus – 112 units; Honda eNS1 – 79 units; Honda M-NV – 70 units; Nissan Ariya – 68 units.

Among the used electric vehicles registered for the first time in Ukraine in March, the leaders are Nissan Leaf – 546 units; Tesla Model 3 – 456 units; Tesla Model Y – 349 units; Volkswagen e-Golf – 246 units; Tesla Model S – 192 units.

We remind you that in February 2024, the Ukrainian car fleet was filled with more than 3.9 thousand electric cars.

And in January, the Ukrainian car fleet was filled with more than 3.5 thousand battery-powered vehicles (BEV).
