The average cash dollar selling rate decreased to 39.45 hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate decreased to 42.90 hryvnia.
The exchange rate of the hryvnia strengthened slightly against the dollar and the euro at exchange offices. RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to market monitoring data on Thursday, April 4.
The average cash dollar selling rate decreased by 10 kopecks, to 39.45 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate fell by 5 kopecks, to 42.90 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 38.95 Hryvnia, and euros for 42.20 Hryvnia.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 39.15-39.17 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – unchanged compared to the previous day’s close.
The day before, the National Bank lowered the official exchange rate of the dollar against the hryvnia after a sharp increase – 39.1953 UAH per 1 dollar (-0.1283 UAH). Today’s euro exchange rate is 42.2643 UAH per 1 euro (-0.0125 UAH).
Let us remind you that in March the dollar exchange rate increased by about 1 Hryvnia. The official rate of the NBU increased by 2.7%. This happened despite the fact that the foreign exchange deficit in the interbank market was not as significant at the end of 2023.
It was also reported that in March the National Bank increased sales of dollars by almost 20%.
